Job Summary

The NBI Buyer is responsible for managing procurement activities related to New Business Initiatives (NBI), ensuring that materials, components, and services are sourced efficiently to support new projects and product development. This role involves identifying and qualifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, securing competitive pricing, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to fulfill purchasing needs for NPI projects.
  • Monitor suppliers to ensure compliance with schedules, quality, and contractual obligations.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing and agreements with vendors.
  • Provide real-time reporting to management on purchasing status, risks, and follow-up actions.
  • Manage overlapping projects, ensuring priorities are tracked and executed effectively.
  • Identify and resolve internal and external challenges with creative, strategic solutions.

Required

  • Proven experience as a Buyer (preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in fast-paced, deadline-driven projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on operations and materials management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to multitask and organize multiple projects simultaneously.

Education
