The Role

The Buyer is assigned to manufacturing projects to support activities related to our growing manufacturing capabilities. The Buyer is also contributing to MRO purchases.

Objectives

• Lead purchasing activities to support manufacturing projects
• Perform purchasing activities for MRO operations

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Projects

• Build procurement plan to meet project requirements in cost, quality and lead-time
• Source vendors and negotiate terms
• Collaborate with other departments to meet goals

MRO Purchasing

• Prepare and process purchase orders, ensure follow-ups with vendors and keep the information up-to-date in the ERP system
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, improve costs, quality and lead-times
• Regularly update pricing for parts and materials list

Your ideal background

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, or any other relevant combination of training and experience
• Minimum five (5) years of purchasing experience in the aerospace industry
• Experience in building and managing procurement schedule for manufacturing
• Thorough and detail oriented
• Relevant MRO experience is an asset
• Proficient with Quantum software, or other ERP systems
• Proficient with MS Office 365
• Bilingual (French and English)
• The position requires a very good knowledge of English, both oral and written. The position involves reading and understanding technical documents in English on a daily basis, especially from international companies, as well as regular communication with customers, suppliers and other international stakeholders
