To support our team, Scient is seeking a detail-oriented individual with a strong administrative skill set to support our day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys building structure, and takes pride in helping a team operate efficiently. The position requires excellent communication skills in French and English, strong organization, and familiarity with finance or business fundamentals.

This is an in-person role supporting activities across Northern Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland, initially for 4–6 months, with the potential to extend based on fit and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to developing and refining business models and financial plans
  2. Assist with budgeting, scheduling, coordination, and reporting to support smooth operations
  3. Coordinate meetings, support documentation, maintain internal records, and handle routine correspondence
  4. Identify and pursue opportunities within the mining ecosystems of Northern Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland
  5. Serve as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders in French and English
Qualifications
  1. Proficiency in French (spoken and written) is an asset; English fluency required
  2. Strong organizational and communication skills
  3. Basic knowledge of finance or business fundamentals
  4. A keen interest in startup operations and the mining sector
  5. Experience with grant writing or financial analysis is an asset
  6. Previous experience in a tech startup environment is an asset
