Pay Rate: $90 – $100/hour

Job Summary

The Business Information Management Specialist V will support a high-profile AML Risk Assessment project for a Top 10 bank in Canada and North America. This senior-level role focuses on data development and engineering, not reporting, and is responsible for sourcing, transforming, and structuring complex data used to support enterprise AML risk metrics across multiple banking segments.

This role requires deep technical expertise, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced, highly visible regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and engineer data pipelines by sourcing data from multiple systems and reference datasets.
  • Design and generate AML risk metrics (e.g., high-risk customer populations by segment and product).
  • Write, run, and optimize complex queries in a cloud-based data environment.
  • Operate within an Azure Cloud ecosystem to support large-scale data initiatives.
  • Apply different business logic across banking segments where data structures and products vary.
  • Support year-over-year (YOY) data builds for ongoing risk assessment programs.
  • Document data logic, processes, and methodologies to ensure sustainability and future reuse.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver accurate data outputs.
  • Support metric-driven deliverables aligned to regulatory and enterprise AML objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience as a Data Developer or Data Engineer.
  • Strong experience supporting complex data projects in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud technologies.
  • Advanced ability to write and execute SQL or equivalent queries.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AML or banking domain experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting multiple banking segments (e.g., Wealth, Insurance, Securities).
  • Microsoft Cloud, Microsoft Data Engineer, or other data-related certifications.
