We are seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to generate high‑quality pipeline, engage prospective customers, and support our growing sales organization. Job Summary

The Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying and engaging prospective customers, qualifying inbound and outbound leads, and creating high‑quality opportunities for the sales team. You will work closely with Sales and Marketing to refine messaging, targeting, and outbound strategy while developing a strong understanding of GovAI’s solutions and the public‑sector market.

How Will You Make an Impact?
  • Prospect into target accounts through outbound emails, calls, LinkedIn outreach, and social selling.
  • Qualify inbound leads by assessing fit, needs, and readiness to engage with sales.
  • Conduct early discovery to understand customer pain points, business priorities, and buying processes.
  • Schedule high‑quality meetings and product demos for Account Executives.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to refine messaging, targeting, and outbound strategy.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and track activity, pipeline progress, and conversion metrics.
  • Develop strong product and market knowledge to effectively communicate GovAI’s value to government customers.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer‑facing role.
  • SaaS experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High resilience, persistence, and comfort with outbound prospecting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A coachable attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, Apollo).
Compensation

The base salary for this role starts at $55,000–$75,000 CAD. This role also includes highly‑competitive performance‑based variable compensation tied to the achievement of sales targets.
