Through our franchising network, we deliver high-quality siding solutions to residential, commercial, and multi-unit properties. We are expanding our presence in the commercial and multi-family renovation market and are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to lead deal flow generation and partnership development in this segment.

Position Overview

The Business Development Manager - Commercial & Multi-Unit Renovation Projects will be responsible for creating a consistent pipeline of commercial and multi-unit residential renovation projects for Ideal Siding franchisees across Canada and the United States. This includes identifying, initiating, and nurturing partnerships with key stakeholders such as property management companies, general contractors, real estate agencies, developers, restoration companies, and building owners. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in expanding our network, strengthening our industry presence, and ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads.

Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development
  • Identify and target strategic partners within the commercial and multi-unit residential renovation sectors.
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with property managers, general contractors, developers, real estate investment groups, and facility management firms.
  • Negotiate and formalize partnership agreements to establish ongoing project referral and collaboration pipelines.
Deal Flow Creation
  • Develop and execute strategies to source, qualify, and manage incoming opportunities for Ideal Siding franchisees.
  • Implement outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, trade events, etc.) to generate consistent B2B leads.
  • Coordinate with franchise partners to match incoming projects with the appropriate local teams.
  • Track and report on deal flow metrics, conversion rates, and partner performance.
Market Expansion & Intelligence
  • Research market trends, competitive landscape, and regional opportunities in commercial and multi-unit renovation.
  • Identify high‑potential geographic and industry segments for partnership growth.
  • Provide feedback and insights to support Ideal Siding’s marketing, sales, and franchising teams.
Relationship Management
  • Maintain structured records of partner relationships and communication history.
  • Regularly engage existing partners to ensure continuous lead generation and strengthen collaboration.
  • Represent Ideal Siding at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 7+ years of experience in franchising, multi‑unit operations, or business coaching.
  • Proven track record of improving P&L performance.
  • Able to travel to visit franchisees in Canada and US (15‑25% of the role).
  • Strong facilitation and group coaching skills (masterminds, workshops, leadership sessions).
  • Experience in construction, home services, or operationally complex businesses preferred.
  • Comfortable working directly with owners and executive leadership.
  • High credibility, strong communication skills, and emotional intelligence.
  • Able to balance strategic leadership with hands‑on, field‑based coaching.
