Senior SMT line operator, bilingual. Are you a passionate SMT Line Technician looking for a unique opportunity in the manufacturing industry in Ville Saint-Laurent? A reputable technology company is seeking a talent like you to join their production team. This is a golden opportunity to leverage your expertise in managing SMT (Surface Mount Technology) production lines. We are looking for an experienced and meticulous SMT Line Technician who can handle complex situations with a keen eye for detail. As a specialist in the skilled trades, your role is crucial to ensuring efficient and high-quality production.

Salary and Location

Salary: $30–$33 per hour. Location: Ville Saint-Laurent, Montreal.

Schedule

Shift: 3:00 p.m. to midnight.

Responsibilities
  • Setup, operation, and adjustment of SMT equipment.
  • Knowledge of machine programming: pick and place, and AOI programs for SMT equipment (printer, pick and place machine, reflow oven) for new products.
  • Preventive maintenance: execute maintenance plans to avoid breakdowns, including cleaning, lubricating, and calibrating machines.
  • Process analysis and improvement: collaborate with engineers to analyze production data and propose process improvements.
  • Component management: ensure precise loading of component feeders and manage the component library within the machine system.
  • Troubleshooting: quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical problems on Panasonic placement machines.
  • Documentation and reporting: maintain production and quality records for manufacturing cycles and machine performance (CAD/Gerber).
Qualifications
  • Vocational diploma (DEP) in electronics or DEC, or other relevant certification.
  • 4–5 years of experience as a production line operator on SMT lines.
  • Experience as an operator, electronics technician, or SMT line technician is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Panasonic placement machines or exposure to the manufacturing sector is an asset.
  • Ability to work with CAD/Gerber files.
  • Strong organizational skills, fast learner, and collaborative mindset.
  • Bilingual; fluency in French and English is important.
