Job Description / Duties

As a BIA Insolvency Counsellor, you will provide federally mandated counselling sessions to debtors navigating insolvency. This role is about more than compliance; it’s about guiding individuals with empathy, equipping them with practical tools, and supporting their journey toward long-term financial wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver first and second BIA-mandated counselling sessions via phone, video, or in person.
  • Support debtors in setting financial goals and developing sustainable budgeting strategies.
  • Provide clear, compassionate guidance throughout the insolvency process.
  • Manage a daily counselling schedule with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Contribute to related tasks as needed to ensure a high-quality debtor experience.
Qualifications / Required Skills
  • Registered BIA Insolvency Counsellor designation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a clear, empathetic communication style.
