As a Senior Leader within Aviva Canada’s Enablement team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful implementation and delivery of the Guidewire Ski release roadmap and upgrades into production. This role demands strategic oversight, business casing, and delivery leadership to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives and the realization of business value.

What you'll do

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of Guidewire Ski release roadmap, ensuring alignment with Aviva’ strategic priorities.

  • Collaborate across Claims, Personal, Commercial Lines of Business to ensure solutions meet diverse operational and customer needs.

  • Work closely with Guidewire to get early insight into emerging capabilities.

  • Partner with Policy, Billing, Claims, and Data teams to manage dependencies and unlock new capabilities enabled by the Guidewire Cloud ecosystem.

  • Define scope, goals, and outcomes in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring clarity and shared understanding.

  • Manage implementation timelines, resources, and risks to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

  • Support transformation and run initiatives, ensuring they meet quality standards and deliver measurable business outcomes.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to delivery teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure adherence to Aviva’s project management and software development best practices.

  • Work closely with Architecture and Software Engineering to design scalable IT application flows and develop industry-leading solutions within the Guidewire ecosystem.

  • Champion the development of new systems and processes that enhance business efficiency, agility, and productivity.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment and proactive dependency management to accelerate delivery and maximize the value of Guidewire Cloud capabilities.

What you'll bring

  • University Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Lead for large Guidewire implementations, including within a Guidewire cloud environment.

  • Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance processes across both Personal and Commercial lines.

  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex delivery programs.

  • Experience of collaborating and influencing partner roadmaps to enable prioritization of features for Aviva

  • Expertise in agile methodologies and modern delivery practices.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.

  • A collaborative mindset—team player, team builder, and delivery driver.
