Job summary

A leading automotive service provider in West Kelowna is seeking an experienced automotive technician to join their full-service team. Responsibilities include diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of various vehicle systems. Ideal candidates must have a Provincial Certificate of Qualification, valid driver's license, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Competitive compensation of $24.00 - $35.00 per hour is offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems.
• Conduct tire repairs and maintain heating and air conditioning.
• Handle steering, suspension, and brake repairs.

Overview

We are looking for automotive technicians that can work independently, while also collaborating with peers when needed. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Details

The position is full time Thursday to Monday. Successful applicant must be willing to work weekends.

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance, including:

• Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
• Tires and tire repair
• Car heating and air conditioning
• Steering and suspension
• Belt and hoses
• Radiator and engine cooling systems
• Batteries, starting and charging
• Steering and suspension
• Brake repair
• Mufflers and exhaust services
• Visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
• Track record of high personal productivity
• Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and diagnostic tools
• Provincial Certificate of Qualification
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools/equipment
• Able to service both import and domestic vehicles

Compensation: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
