Job summary

A leading automotive service provider in York Region is looking for an experienced automotive technician. You will conduct diagnostics and repairs on all vehicle systems, including brakes, tires, and heating. A valid Certificate of Qualification is essential, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $70,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid and current Certificate of Qualification in Ontario.
• Own tools/equipment, including preferred diagnostic scanner.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics using computer systems.
• Conduct repairs including tires, brakes, air conditioning, and exhaust systems.
• Conduct visual safety and courtesy inspections.

Skills

Ability to repair vehicles independently

Experience working in a team

High personal productivity

Knowledge of safety and environmental standards

Using shop equipment

Able to service import and domestic vehicles

Education

Provincial Certificate of Qualification

Valid driver’s license

Job description

We are looking for automotive technicians that are able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
• Tires and tire repair
• Car heating and air conditioning
• Steering and suspension
• Belts and hoses
• Radiator and engine cooling systems
• Batteries, starting and charging
• Steering and suspension
• Brake repair
• Mufflers and exhaust services
• Visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
• Track record of high personal productivity
• Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and diagnostic tools
• Provincial Certificate of Qualification
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner / tools preferred also)
• Able to service both import and domestic vehicles

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
