A leading mining company in Canada is seeking a Technology Project Lead to oversee capital technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves guiding cross-functional teams, communicating with stakeholders, and employing strong project management skills. Candidates should possess over 5 years of relevant experience in project management, ideally in related sectors, and have excellent leadership, communication, and risk management abilities. Work Location: Perth & Site (hybrid 50/50 split) – Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people
Roster: 5:2, 4:3 (Monday to Friday in Perth 7.6 hrs, then 4:3 on site 12 hrs)
The Technology Project Lead is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of capital technology projects within Fortescue. This role involves guiding cross functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
The Project Lead will coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives, develop comprehensive project plans, and implement strategies to mitigate risks. By promoting teamwork and effective communication among team members and external partners, the Technology Project Lead will drive innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring that technology solutions align with organisational goals and deliver measurable value.
