Job Description / Duties
The Auto Insurance Specialist I is primarily responsible for processing basic insurance transactions and auto policies.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- This position processes basic insurance transaction and auto policies.
- Processes auto and basic insurance transactions under the supervision of a more senior licensed broker.
- Identifies client needs and provides information on basic insurance products such as risk coverage, benefits and other policy features best suited to meet the client's needs; works with clients to manage and reduce their risk.
- Recommends and implements a client’s insurance coverage, premiums and collects payment; promotes Brio/Interlake Insurance products and services.
- Support the achievement of department and organizational goals as well as actively participates in regular staff meetings.
- Maintain open communication and cooperation with other staff to ensure a friendly and efficient work environment.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to organizational policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security and fraud prevention.

Qualifications / Required Skills
Essential Qualifications
- Level 1 or working towards Level 1 Brokers license
- Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and perform well under pressure
- Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions
- Knowledge of Brio Insurance products and services
- Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures
- Knowledge of risk management within the insurance industry
- Proficient computer skills
