Job summary

A leading child and family services organization in Ontario is seeking an Autism Consultant to support Francophone and rural initiatives. Qualifications

Overview

Autism Consultant (French) - Kinark Child and Family Services

Location: 34 Simcoe St #301, Barrie, ON L4N 6T4

Type: Temporary, full-time (35 hours / week)

Duration: 1 year

Note: This role supports Francophone and rural initiatives within Kinark Autism Services. The position is primarily based in the York / Simcoe region with remote support for other regions. Kinark offers partial or full remote work for eligible roles. The Roamer position requires about 2 days per week in the office unless business needs require more presence. Schedule may include evenings, weekends, split shifts, or shifts under 7 hours.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of core clinical services (OAP).
  • Advise on evidence-based practices for children with ASD in home and community settings.
  • Identify gaps in services, quality assurance, client experience, marketing, and advertising.
  • Develop and draft reports and report templates.
  • Create and lead training sessions for parents, guardians, and educators.
  • Develop training materials and provide educational opportunities for parents and educators supporting children and youth with ASD.
  • Potentially train new facilitators.
  • Provide direct services as needed.
  • Evenings and weekends may be required.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or a related field.
  • BCBA / RBA certification in Ontario is an asset.
  • Fluent bilingual in English and French (spoken, reading, writing).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ABA and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Experience developing and delivering caregiver education and groups is a strong asset.
  • Experience delivering consultation-based services.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and presentations.
  • Travel required; valid Ontario driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and business-use auto insurance with minimum $1,000,000 liability.
Job Summary

The Autism Consultant will support Francophone and rural initiatives within Kinark Autism Services, including parent and educator workshops and ABA coaching for parents and caregivers. The role is based primarily in the York / Simcoe Region with remote support for other regions. This is a Roamer position with approximately 2 days per week in the office unless business needs require more presence. You may work evenings, weekends, or split shifts and may be assigned to other Kinark sites or programs within a 50 km radius based on operational needs.
