Summary

The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and execution to ensure a profitable store while maintaining brand standards. This role acts as a key decision maker in the absence of the General Manager and focuses on operational excellence, talent development, and customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and developing store initiatives
  • Educate team on sales and profit performance tools and resources
  • Create and uphold a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
  • Assist in client development strategy and lead community outreach
  • Execute talent strategy and participate in recruitment and networking
  • Provide coaching, feedback and development opportunities to staff
  • Manage store processes including inventory control to achieve shrink goals
  • Champion use of technology and new selling techniques to drive results
  • Ensure sales floor and store standards exceed expectations
Requirements
  • College degree or equivalent is a plus
  • Retail management or similar high‑volume specialty experience preferred
  • Proven track record building and maintaining positive customer and team relationships
  • Strong business acumen with planning and prioritization skills
  • Ability to operate register and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for multiple hours
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and occasional travel
  • Effective communication skills with customers and store personnel
