Assistant Outlet Manager
Position Summary
The Assistant Outlet Manager supports the Outlet Manager in overseeing the daily operations of Teller’s Bar, Bistro, Daily Ritual, and In Room Dining to ensure exceptional service, quality standards, and guest satisfaction. This role involves supervising the team, maintaining operational efficiency, handling guest concerns, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies and food safety standards.
Operational Management
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the outlet, ensuring smooth service delivery.
- Support the Outlet Manager in achieving revenue and service goals.
- Monitor cleanliness, ambiance, and setup according to brand standards.
- Ensure all equipment and facilities are in good working condition.
- Manage staffing levels to maintain service standards efficiently.
- Ensure food and beverage products meet established specifications.
- Review manifests and staffing to assign work appropriately.
- Understand all aspects of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Conduct physical inventory and requisition supplies as needed.
Guest Service
- Greet guests and interact to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle guest requests and complaints professionally.
- Maintain high service standards during busy periods.
- Resolve guest issues following standard procedures.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, schedule, and train front-of-house staff.
- Monitor performance and provide coaching.
- Promote teamwork and a positive environment.
Sales and Revenue
- Support upselling and promotional activities.
- Analyze performance and sales data.
- Participate in promotional campaigns and events.
- Evaluate profit and loss statements.
Administration & Compliance
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene compliance.
- Assist with inventory, stock, and costs.
- Prepare shift reports and perform administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
- 2-3 years supervisory experience in food and beverage, ideally in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in POS systems and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of food safety standards.
- Professional appearance and flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays.
