Education:

Experience:

  • 7+ years’ experience as a QA / QC Manager or in a similar role
  • 3+ year’s experience in a supervisory role

  • Experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing in a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience complaint analysis and implementing corrective/preventative measures
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, preferably ISO 9001:2015 quality standard
  • Support the QMS through various Internal Audits
  • Excellent analytical skills and understanding of data analysis and statistical methods
  • Experience using ERP software, tools, and processes
  • Experience working in the windows & doors industry is an asset
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Excellent knowledge of internal quality specifications
  • Your detail orientation ensures that only quality products are released for shipment to our customers
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and a varied workforce

Quality Assurance & Quality Control
  • Support the sustainment of production processes and improvement of finished product quality
  • Develop and coordinate all investigations and corrective actions pertaining to Quality Assurance & Quality Control
  • Knowledge of design and function for all raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished products
  • Coordinate, conduct and record material, process audits and assessments, including testing
  • Maintain records. i.e. inspection, non-conformance, testing, criteria, calibrations, etc. with respect to the quality management system and its requirements
  • Ensure timely resolution of field concerns, product failure, corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain compliance with external auditors and collaborate with suppliers, builders, various branches on quality concerns
  • Ensure that all operational requirements meet required legal and regulatory standards
  • Create and manage budgets for Quality Assurance Analytics
  • Approve or reject all procedures, specifications, test methods, controls and results that affect the quality of each product. Written procedures shall be established and implemented
  • Manage the development and distribution of timely reports while thoroughly analyzing trends/data to find opportunities for improvement

  • Ensure thorough understanding and adequate training of products, alternatives, and issue resolution processes
  • Partner with various departments as required to achieve quality objectives
  • When increasing trends or issues arise, conduct root cause investigations, and maintain written records of those and necessary follow-up actions
  • Coordinate and lead meetings to report or discuss quality observations, issues, and objectives
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, explore opportunities to achieve company objectives
  • Manage and guide the team in all day-to-day operations of the department and promote collaborative culture across cross-functional teams
  • Ensure current knowledge and compliance of all safety requirements. throughout the building and at customer sites
  • Participate in educational opportunities for continued growth and maintain professional personal networks to improve job knowledge and processes

Working Conditions:

  • Lifting and/or carrying anywhere from 0llbs to 75llbs
  • Operate primarily in an office environment and manufacturing plant with occasional site visits
  • Use standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones
  • Occasional extended days and weekend work
  • Due to forklifts in the plant, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing uneven walking surface. Floor may become slippery during wet weather conditions
  • The plant environment can be dusty and noisy. Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes
  • Passing forklifts emit gas fumes and chemicals may contain hazardous materials and emit unpleasant odours
