Job summary

A national consulting firm is seeking an Archaeological Field Director/Supervisor to lead archaeological field crews in Fort St. John, BC. The successful candidate will direct reconnaissance surveys, mentor junior staff, and ensure safety on site. A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Archaeology/Anthropology and a year of relevant field experience are required.   • Lead archaeological field crews in NEBC
  • Spot, map, and catalog archaeological & traditional use sites
  • Direct reconnaissance surveys + impact assessments
  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with First Nations communities
  • Mentor juniors while keeping safety front and center
  • Bring your field director / field supervisor expertise to exciting projects
✅ What You Bring
  • Recognized Field Director or Supervisor status (NEBC or other BC)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Archaeology/Anthropology
  • 1+ years in the field (360+ days under a BC permit)
  • Current First Aid & H2S Alive
  • Class 5 Driver’s License + Canadian Citizenship/PR
  • Strong fitness + willingness to travel and work remote
