Job summary

A local electrical contractor is seeking an experienced individual for electrical installation and maintenance work. Responsibilities include installing and repairing electrical controls and systems, reading blueprints, and conducting preventive maintenance. Candidates must have a secondary school graduation certificate and 2 years of experience in electrical work. This position requires on-site work without the option for remote work. Competitive compensation is offered.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical controls and panel boxes.
• Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes.
• Splice, join, and connect wires.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults.
• Connect power to audio and visual equipment.
• Install power generation and power conditioning systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Test and replace defective equipment or components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

• Install power generation, stand-by power generation and power conditioning systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
• Test and replace defective equipment or components
• Replace faulty components
• Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
