We are seeking a hands-on application lead with advanced expertise in Site Reliability engineering and Enterprise Application Integration to drive and maintain high-performance payment systems.
You will work with technical teams to deliver and maintain cutting-edge payment solutions and ensure production readiness and reliability across environments.
Responsibilities
- Leading, implementing and automating application deployments end to end across all environments (UAT, Production, etc.).
- Perform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of components including maintenance, upgrades and proactive intervention to ensure high availability and stability of the service.
- Developing detailed release / implementation and technical documentation and ensure compliance with audit and security policies / controls.
- Work closely with Product, Development, Testing, QA and Operations teams to ensure final release / code version performance and stability prior to deployments.
- Manage and mitigate risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality, ensuring zero client and service impact for all releases and deployments.
- Represent Release and deployment through TCAB, ExCAB and lead post-implementation reviews with Agile squads, ensuring continuous enhancements of the release and deployment process.
- Implement release and deployment best practices and drive continuous improvements and efficiencies in deployment pipelines.
- Drive, implement and prioritize application stability and service automation / optimization initiatives ensuring adherence to SLAs and customer journey metrics.
- Optimize application performance using monitoring / diagnostic tools and data-driven insights to continually improve service excellence.
- Develop and implement scalable solutions to reduce manual intervention and streamline deployment validations and availability (self-healing, auto-scaling, etc.).
- Integrate and streamline all aspects of Application Operations to improve build, development, and testing processes.
- Respond to and quickly resolve escalated issues, participate in 24/7 on-call production support, and mitigate risk and impact to production systems.
- Coordinate change activities across infrastructure, platform, application and third-party providers as an ITIL-aligned Service Integrator (SI).
- Oversee release quality across all workstreams and environments (Non-Prod, Pre-Prod, Production) and coordinate release plans among stakeholders.
- Participate in technology currency and capacity planning and ITIL-related activities; provide metrics on release process effectiveness and recommendations for optimization.
You’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Expertise with version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing codebases.
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and PostgreSQL databases.
- Expertise with CI / CD automation and Kubernetes / containerization (e.g., Docker).
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
- Experience with monitoring, logging and tools such as Azure Monitor, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.
- Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
- Solid knowledge of Agile development and frameworks (e.g., JIRA, GitHub).
- Background in build integration, testing and automation strategies.
- Understanding of SDLC including release planning, release processes, software testing, deployment, maintenance / support.
- Familiarity with open-source packages (e.g., Spring, Apache) and data formats (JSON, XML).
- Able to analyze data, identify and mitigate risk to production systems; strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented with ability to engage stakeholders and work in a collaborative environment.
- Structured ITIL approach.
