Job Description
  • Interpretblueprints, drawings, and measurements forlayout.
  • Welding large andsmall components such as copper plumbing, beams andpipes.
  • Use specializedmachines for industrial welding and monitor machines that dosimilar work.
  • Maintain and repairall machines.
  • Evaluate surfaces,structures, and components to be welded to identifydefects.
  • Follow and enforcestrict safety rules such as wearing heat-resistant gloves,protective masks, and protective shoes.
  • Monitor machinery forproper use and temperature. Solder flat, vertical and overheadcomponents.
  • Inspect and inspectwelded surfaces and structures for defects.
  • Store the device in acondition that does not compromise safety.
  • Repair machines andother parts by welding parts and filling gaps
  • Weld parts usingmanual or semi-automatic welding equipment in differentpositions.
Requirements
  • High school diplomaor equivalent.
