A corporate development firm in Toronto seeks a motivated business development professional to lead outreach initiatives and engage acquisition targets. The role requires excellent communication skills, a bachelor's degree, and a keen understanding of M&A principles. Ideal candidates will thrive in a hybrid work environment and be driven to exceed targets while contributing to the team's success.
Role Description
Your main responsibility is to generate new conversations with suitable acquisition targets on behalf of our clients and advance those conversations forward. You will connect with decision-makers at targets primarily by email or LinkedIn and assist in determining strategic initiatives (e.g. M&A, succession planning) led by these decision-makers and in confirming suitability for our clients. Your outreach targets are well documented and segmented in our CRM to start with, and the prospecting tools and software at your disposal are advanced. You are a self-motivated and driven individual who is goal-oriented, has great communication skills, and thrives on exceeding targets. With time, you will progress in our Origination & Advisory team, expanding your scope and responsibilities in managing prospects further. The role reports to a Vice President / Associate Vice President. The role is hybrid.
