What You’ll Do

As an Aircraft Component Sander, you will perform surface preparation on aircraft components such as sanding, cleaning, stripping patching and masking.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Disassemble, clean, inspect and remove coatings from aircraft parts and components
  • Use specialised cleaning equipment, solvents, and tools to remove dirt, grease, and other contaminants from aircraft parts and components
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to handle hazardous materials and chemicals
  • Inspect cleaned parts for defects or damage and report any issues to supervisors
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Adhere to regulations and standards set by aviation authorities and manufacturers
  • Complete the required documentation for the work performed
What You Bring (Qualifications/Skills)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in aircraft maintenance and/or aircraft parts cleaning, is an asset
  • Previous experience in surface preparation in other industries, is an asset
  • Ability to work with precision and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and safety guidelines
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and pneumatic tools, is an asset
  • Physical ability to handle repetitive sanding tasks and manual work
  • Comfortable in working in a hot environment
  • Bilingual (French and English*)
  • The position requires a very good knowledge of English, both oral and written. The position involves reading and understanding technical documents in English on a daily basis, especially from international companies.
