The Role

The Aggregate Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth, developing strong customer relationships, and expanding Mainland’s presence in key markets. This role blends business development, account management, and technical product knowledge to deliver value to customers and ensure Mainland CM remains the supplier of choice for construction aggregates.

The Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts while seeking opportunities to expand market share.
  • Build relationships with customers through face-to-face contact, including site visits, champion the sales strategy and continually look for new opportunities.
  • Understand the competitive landscape, know competitors, market trends, and potential new entrants, seeks to fill gaps when necessary, makes customer centric based decisions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, be accountable for an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting net new revenue.
  • Build instant rapport with customers, move past gatekeepers, and connect directly with decision makers.
  • Contributes to a sales culture that values transparency, accountability, excellence, customer service, and satisfaction.
The Requirements
  • 3–5 years of proven sales experience, ideally in aggregates, construction materials, or a related industry.
  • In depth understanding of the construction sector and aggregate products is an asset, familiar with customer specifications and how to meet them effectively.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Results-driven mindset with a strong work ethic and motivation to exceed targets.
  • Self-starter who thrives independently and values teamwork and collaboration.
  • A reputation for integrity, trust, and ethical decision-making.
  • Highly organized with excellent time and process management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) has experience with CRM systems.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours when customer needs require it.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
