Job description

Hybrid - This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Oshawa Elevation Centre or the Markham Elevation Centre three times per week, at minimum.

We are seeking a creative and data-driven Advertising Specialist to join the Buick Canada marketing team. The key focus of the role is to support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns on owned and paid channels that enhance brand awareness, drive business growth including new product launches and sustain campaigns for both Brand and Retail efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate, lead and assist in the planning and execution of brand and nameplate integrated advertising campaigns, including paid media, across all platforms for new product launches and sustain campaigns, for both retail and brand

  • Contribute to development of Client Input Briefs that outline Marketing and Communication objectives to initiate new projects with Agency Partners

  • Coordinate messaging and resource requests from product brand teams, including CRM programs, dealer digital assets, and POP programs (where applicable)

  • Build and maintain relationships both internally and externally i.e.; CRM, agencies, U.S. and Global GM partners, legal, etc.

  • Contribute to seeding the accurate brand message integration between all internal and external stakeholders including Regional Sales Teams, PR, agencies, CRM, website, etc. This includes approving all consumer facing assets and ensuring brand consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all materials are met

  • Support the execution of the go-to market plans across the entire brand portfolio as well as alignment with the Regional Marketing teams to support their go-to market needs.

  • Coordinate with creative agency and ensure timely delivery of advertising materials and alignment on go-to-market plans, including paid media, for both brand and retail programs

  • Manage project timelines, and approvals for all customer facing assets to ensure smooth execution of campaigns, this includes maintaining project status documents and legal/brand/product approvals.

  • Ensure social media content reflects the brand’s tone of voice and resonates with target audiences by guiding creative briefs and approving final deliverables

  • Contribute to the strategy and planning for annual Agency brief

  • Influence and manage experiential and sponsorship programs across the portfolio i.e. deliver assets within workback/timelines, attend/supervise executions, work with legal to get contracts and legal documents reviewed and approved by deadlines.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, platform updates, and emerging advertising technologies

Qualifications
  • Successfully obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field

  • Marketing communications experience (brand, retail, advertising)

  • Experience working on integrated campaigns, both owned channel communications (email, website, retail) and paid media advertising

  • Knowledge of advertising platforms, including Google Ads, social media advertising, and other digital channels.

  • Experience working at or closely alongside a Creative or Media Agency is a significant asset

  • Experience with media strategy, planning and monitoring campaign performance is an asset

  • Ability to travel across Canada for various events

  • Automotive Industry experience is an asset

  • Product knowledge considered an asset

  • Bilingual considered an asset

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
