A health services provider in Red Deer seeks an Administrative Support IV to provide essential administrative support to managers. The role involves scheduling, financial activities, and problem-solving. Successful candidates will excel in communication and possess advanced computer skills. The Administrative Support IV will perform a variety of general administrative and clerical services. The incumbent will be required to both take direction and work intuitively as they provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Manager. They will work collaboratively with the Administrative and Management teams to support the completion of the program’s goals and objectives in a professionally and culturally appropriate manner that aligns with our values. The position requires the ability to work effectively under pressure and with a high degree of independence, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgement, excellent problem‑solving skills, as well as a high level of accuracy and accountability. The position is responsible for staff scheduling and rotation development, as well as calendar management, preparing materials, meeting preparations and support, financial activities such as expense claims and payroll duties, and file management. Additionally, they will use discretion to address escalated issues or problems where there may not be established processes or guidelines. The incumbent must exercise judgment, discretion and independent decision making across a spectrum of activities that may include internal and external relationships, and administrative duties.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstration of advanced/intermediate skills with computer technology and applications including but not limited to: MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS OneNote, MS PowerPoint, and SharePoint are essential. This is an On‑site position.
