A regional health authority in Claresholm is seeking an Administrative Support III to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Home Care and Public Health Programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a Medical Office Assistant or equivalent certificate, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. This role involves close collaboration with healthcare teams and delivering quality support to ensure effective patient care. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Salary ranges from $23.53 to $28.60 per hour.
Under the general direction of the Integrated Home Care Manager, the Administrative Support III provides administrative support to the Home Care & Public Health Programs. This position will provide all forms of clerical support in order to keep the team well organized and efficient. As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department and or program along with direct client services. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. Please note this position is approximately 130 km SE outside of Calgary City Limits, and or approximately 80 km NW outside of Lethbridge City Limits.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Fluency in the English language. Fluency in the written and spoken English language. Medical Office Assistant certificate or equivalent Admin Certificate. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with pleasant manner. Must demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Must be flexible and able to deal with stress and short timelines. Demonstrated strong organizational skills, consistent attention to detail, flexibility, self-direction, and prioritization of work are essential. The incumbent must possess strong conflict resolution skills and display excellent judgement analytical capabilities. Must be able to exercise judgement, professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion particularly when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential issues. Must be a critical thinker, be self-directed and highly motivated. Must possess sound decision-making skills and display the ability to make decisions appropriately and quickly in new situations. Must demonstrate strong team building skills and commitment to team approach and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people (Physicians and other members of the health care team). Proficiency in typing and computer skills such as Microsoft office (word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote) is required.
Minimum of 1–2 years of administrative experience. Minimum of 1–2 years of Health Care administrative experience. Public Health and Home Care experience preferred. Payroll & Timekeeper experience and staff scheduling experience is an asset. Experience with Connect Care, ESP, CPSM, SharePoint is an asset.
