Overview

Midland Transport is currently seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant based out of Head Office in Dieppe, NB. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a “Can Do” attitude.


The Administrative Assistant will provide essential support to Driver Services team by managing driver’s documents, facilitating effective communication with drivers and third parties and streamlining daily operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications


  • Education Required: Minimum High School or College Diploma.

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in the transportation industry.

  • Exceptional verbal, written and listening communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledge and understanding of DOT and Federal regulations.

  • Knowledge of Ships and AS400 would be considered an asset.



Responsibilities


  • Receive, process and archive various forms of correspondence, driver documentation and letters.

  • Scan, upload and organize driver documents within internal database systems.

  • Truck and follow up on the request from drivers or external parties to ensure timely resolution.

  • Conduct annual reviews of Driver’s documents in the internal system to ensure compliance.

  • Support cross-functional team by providing administrative support during audits, compliance checks or special projects.
