Job summary

A staffing agency is seeking an Admin Associate in the Richmond Hill area. The role includes sorting and delivering mail, collecting signatures for courier items, and unloading shipments. Candidates must have 1-2 years of administrative experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. This position offers $20/hr plus vacation pay in a safe work environment, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Sort incoming mail and inter-office mail into designated mail slots.
  • Open unidentifiable mail to determine nature of contents.
  • Execute mail runs distributing various types of mail.
  • Collect signatures for courier items using the Web Tracking System.
  • Unload heavy boxes (up to 50 pounds) by hand from delivery vehicles.
  • Deliver boxes of photocopy paper to departments as needed.
  • Prepare outgoing mail for Canada Post Vans.

Admin Associate

Our client in the Insurance industry is in search of an Admin Associate in the Richmond Hill area.

What you will do:
  • Sorting incoming mail and inter-office mail into designated mail slots
  • Opening unidentifiable mail to determine nature of contents and correct distribution.
  • Execute mail runs which involves distributing regular mail, interoffice mail, and courier mail.
  • Use Web Tracking System to collect signatures for courier items
  • Unloading shipments of heavy boxes (up to 50 pounds) by hand from trucks, vans, and other delivery vehicles without a loading dock or forklift
  • Use manual pump truck to direct full skids of boxes into receiving area or mail room
  • Delivering boxes of photocopy paper to Document Management and other departments
  • Sorting and processing outgoing mails from all departments to Canada Post Vans
  • Prepare courier mail for pick-up using several courier websites
  • Pick up mail from post office using company van
Who You Are
  • 1-2 years administrative skills
  • Ability to work accurately with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset
