ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK

(REGULAR PART TIME)

Position Overview

A Regular Part Time Accounts Receivable Clerk position is available within our Finance Department at Louise Marshall Hospital, site of North Wellington Health Care. This position is unionized with OPSEU, Local 226.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary training in Accounting and/or Accounts Receivable required
  • Processing or equivalent related experience
  • CIHI – Introduction to the MIS Guidelines for Acute Care - E-Learning
  • Ensure all revenue generating, billing, collection, receipting, recording, reporting and administration of the accounts receivable function meet appropriate accounting and internal control standards.
  • Ability to handle confidential issues/information in a professional manner
  • Document, submit and record all MOHLTC, OHIP, WSIB and insurance company billings
  • Recording receipting and preparation of deposits
  • Month end balancing and reporting of general ledger accounts for receivables and revenue
  • Responsible for the prioritization of the daily work flow
  • Provide training and/or orientation for other Hospital staff members that may be involved in the billing, receipting or cash collection process
  • Provide any required production, efficiency, statistic, management, continuous quality improvement or other reporting/information
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with internal and external inquiries
  • Experience with MEDITECH an asset
  • Experience in a Hospital Finance department an asset
  • Proficiency in interpretation of MOH Schedule of Benefits codes and Preamble
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal & public relations skills
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel and demonstrated ability to readily learn new software
Additional Qualifications
  • Satisfactory performance and attendance required
  • Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
  • Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment
Hours of Work
  • Day shifts, Monday to Friday
Salary

$28.74 - $29.63 per hour
