Job Description

The Accounting Supervisor (3 months Contract) will be responsible for accurate and timely financial and operational reporting, management of accounts receivable and accounts payable. Oversee operational systems and ensure full compliance with all commercial and financial policies and procedures. The Accounting Supervisor will report directly to the Aramark Executive Learning Centre Director of Finance. In the absence of the Director of Finance, this position will manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, working with other departments and the General Manager. The role involves collaboration with department heads to meet financial and operational targets.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain effective communication with all team members.
  • Build and sustain relationships with Department Heads, Clients & Customers. Engage actively in operational issues and processes, working closely with managers and employees.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, monthly financial statements, and other reports to maximize operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Manage cash handling, business forecasting, accounts receivable, internal financial reports, and other duties as needed.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls, policies, and procedures for compliance.
  • Coordinate with multiple operational divisions.
  • Ensure all procedures and policies are followed.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of experience in an accounting office within a small or midsize business environment.
  • Strong administrative and operational leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with system implementation.
  • Knowledge of Profit VU and Opera systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
