Overview

Summary:

Under direct supervision, repetitive tasks within general accounting and accounts payable including processing AP invoices, post journal entries, verify information and maintain files. Handles special projects, as assigned. This position is a permanent full time role, based in our office located in South West (Ellerslie) Edmonton.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices in Business Central for multiple product lines
• Work closely and support the junior accountant
• Assist with audits, providing requested information on a timely basis
• Support and participate in initiatives for process improvements
• Ensure all tasks are completed per accounting and SOX policies
• Support SOX testing initiatives
• Assist with special projects as requested
• Actively support FET and facility safety initiatives.

• Good Microsoft Excel skill

• Ability to handle multiple activities and maintain deadlines
• Ability to interact with employees, customers, and vendors on a daily basis.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
