Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for an Accountant Technician located in Red Deer County, AB. The Accountant Technician will be responsible for managing bookkeeping tasks, preparing financial statements, and supporting tax preparation processes. Daily tasks will include reconciling accounts, processing transactions, producing reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Collaboration with team members and providing support for client inquiries are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial transaction processing
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, creating financial statements, and analyzing financial data
  • Experience with tax preparation, understanding tax regulations, and assisting with compliance
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel; familiarity with QuickBooks or similar tools is an asset
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Diploma or degree in accounting or a related field; relevant certifications are advantageous
