Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in public practice is preferred.
  • Experience with accounting software including Caseware and QuickBooks is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify unusual transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare year-end financial statements for audit and review.
  • Handle bookkeeping duties and journal entries.
  • Prepare various tax filings including personal and corporate returns.

Skills

Accounting diploma or certificate or equivalent experience
1-3+ years public practice experience
Experience with Caseware, Taxprep, QuickBooks, Simply Accounting
Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook
Strong bookkeeping and organizational skills
Solid analytical skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Client service focus and initiative
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
