Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Swift Current, SK is seeking a full-time Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will carry out responsibilities such as preparing and analyzing financial statements, executing General Ledger reconciliations, and maintaining transactions. Candidates should hold at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, with strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Qualifications

  • Must have completed or be working on a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience in a financial management role.
  • Experience with accounting software and systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and verify accounting records and financial statements.
  • Assist with monthly General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable accurately and timely.
  • Provide payroll backup as needed.

S3 Group Ltd. is currently recruiting for an Accountant to join our team at our Head Office in Swift Current, SK. This is a full-time position.

Education, Skills, Training, And Experience
  • Working on or completion of Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
  • 1 year of accounting experience in an accounting or financial management role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to ask critical questions, verify data, and follow instructions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Preference will be given to a candidate that has experience with QuickBooks/accounting software, and MRP or ERP systems
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation, analysis and verification of accounting records, financial statements and reports
  • Assist divisions with the completion of their roles and responsibilities relating to finance
  • Perform monthly General Ledger reconciliations
  • Process AP & AR in an accurate and timely mannerEnsure that all transactions are kept current, recorded accurately, and processed efficiently
  • Provide Payroll back up
  • Complete data mining & analysis
  • Record and process employee expense reports and reconcile credit card statements
  • Perform various administrative duties and other tasks as assigned
