Job Title: Accountant

Location: Mississauga

Salary range: $65,000-75,000

The Opportunity

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support day-to-day finance operations across general accounting, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and treasury. This is a hands-on role that contributes to both routine processes and special projects, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact as part of a growing finance team.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting
  • Prepare account reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Maintain lease schedules and ensure compliance with lease accounting standards
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASPE
  • Manage customer invoicing, collections, and AR reconciliations
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations; assist with cash flow monitoring
  • Support internal teams during audits, system upgrades, and tax filings
  • Assist with budget preparation and reporting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and operations to resolve customer and contract matters
What We Need From You
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation or working toward it
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in a multi-functional role
  • Solid understanding of ASPE and general accounting principles
  • Experience with accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and cash management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic experience is an asset)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Professionalism, discretion, and a collaborative mindset
