About the workplace

As an Account Manager I, you will demonstrate excellent customer service by engaging face-to-face with members, building trust through your financial expertise, and understanding their goals to provide tailored advice. Your work will help increase member loyalty and deepen their relationship with Vancity.

This full-time temporary role is located at our Victoria City Centre Branch (Branch 67), reporting to the Assistant Branch Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing comprehensive financial advice to grow and maintain member portfolios
  2. Assessing member needs to recommend appropriate products like loans, mortgages, and deposits
  3. Referring members to specialized teams for additional support
  4. Meeting branch profitability targets
  5. Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures

Qualifications and skills:

  • Resourceful with the ability to independently solve problems
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Positive attitude and adaptability to a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of Financial Planning coursework (e.g., Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning or Financial Planning 1 and CUIC 210)
  • At least one year of member service experience in the financial industry

Bonus points:

  • Banking or call center experience
  • Lending experience

Salary: $32.42 to $40.21 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
