What we need :

Mohawk is looking for an Account Executive who can do more with Mohawk. The ideal candidate will be a business-minded, organized, high-energy, proven winner, and self-starter, who thrives in fast-paced and complex selling environments with multiple stakeholders across segments and channels. This is a sales position acting as the principal selling agent within the assigned territory for the company to achieve the short and long-term objectives established in the company\'s Business Plan. Objectives will be achieved through the discovering of new customers and existing markets in the assigned territory. May be assigned to a specific market segment when role is based out of a major metropolitan area.

What you have :

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of progressively responsible work-related experience and any combination of education and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company\'s diverse business and product lines.

What you\'re good at :

  • Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact and negotiate with internal and external customers and business contacts, at all organizational levels; ability to communicate with others in antagonistic situation using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict and maintain professionalism in accordance with corporate standards.
  • Ability to work and communicate with diverse groups, ability to achieve results through team efforts, and ability to persuade, market, and sell new ideas.
  • Ability to gather, assemble, correlate and analyze statistical and financial data to develop solutions.
  • Ability to interact with and track orders through MohawkNet system.
  • Ability to travel.

Responsibilities (condensed from original content)

  • Performs Sales Calls including traveling to customer facilities, providing information and support, making sales presentations, quoting prices, taking orders, and closing transactions; discusses features and merits of products or services and answers questions with referrals as needed.
  • Monitors territory performance against objectives and takes action to improve results.
  • Provides customer service to resolve issues, communicates requirements to other departments, and reports customer feedback to product managers or leadership as appropriate.
  • Assists in establishing sales objectives and ensures activities comply with policies and procedures; exercises good judgment and maintains ethical standards in the absence of formal guidelines.
  • Stays informed about industry changes and provides timely field activity reporting to aid planning.
  • Assists in developing a territory coverage plan and defines required customer contact frequency to meet goals.
  • Performs regional opportunity analysis and sales forecasting; identifies additional activities or materials needed to achieve product sales goals in key accounts and markets.
  • Provides recommendations for expense budgets and manages company assets and compliance with policies.
  • Performs other duties as required.
