Additional locations: New Foundland, New Brunswick, Nove Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

As an Atlantic Accident Benefits Claim Advisor, you investigate, evaluate and negotiate accident benefits claims and help serve and maintain business relationships with members and clients. Proactively, you contact clients to establish rapport, discuss the claims process, and explain applicable benefits. You guide them through the claims process, understanding their unique needs while providing empathetic support. Where applicable, you effectively manage and negotiate claims through the dispute resolution process. You manage and interact with stakeholders in the claims process to ensure client's rehabilitation needs are met. You ensure effective reserving practices and issue claim payments on a timely basis.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate accident benefits claims.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with clients, providing updates on the status of their claims, addressing inquiries and guiding them through the claims process.
  • Proactively identify and resolve challenges that may arise during the claims process, with a focus on always doing what is best for the client.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accurately case reserve claims in line with company best practices.

What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Proficiency in both French and English, due to the nature of the duties or work tools because the position involves interactions with French and English-speaking partners, members and/or clients.
  • New Brunswick Adjusters License
  • CIP designation or enrolled in program.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and contractual obligations (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland)
  • Knowledge of medical and legal terminology, vocational rehabilitation concepts and disability management principles
  • Candidates located in NS, NB, PEI and New Foundland will be telework
