26-016 Temporary Full-Time Position and Permanent Full Time – ACP – Evansburg

We are currently accepting expressions of interest for an ACP (TFT) and ACP (PFT) to work out of our Evansburg Station.

Position Overview

Associated Ambulance is currently seeking a qualified Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) to join our team at the Barrhead Station. This permanent full-time position offers a predictable and balanced shift schedule of four days on, followed by four days off. As an ACP with Associated Ambulance, you will be an essential part of our emergency medical response team, providing vital pre-hospital care and life‑saving interventions to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient conditions to determine the extent of injury or illness and immediate care requirements.
  • Administer pre-hospital emergency medical care, including patient stabilization for ambulance transportation.
  • Monitor vital signs, assess blood glucose levels, and perform other diagnostic procedures.
  • Execute advanced life support procedures such as intubation and cardiac pacing.
  • Work collaboratively with emergency medical personnel, emergency communications officers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
  • Valid Advanced Care Paramedic practice permit that meets the EMS practice requirements in Alberta.
  • Current, valid Alberta Class IV driver’s license.
  • Completion of all mandatory and required training, including MCP and PDIC.

The successful applicant(s) will work on the basis of four (4) days on followed by four (4) days off. Applicants must disclose, in the EOI, any commitments they have that could impact their ability to fulfill the requirements of the full‑time position.

This position qualifies for a retention bonus structured as follows:

  • 1 Year: $5,000.00
  • 2 Years: $12,000.00
  • 3 Years: $17,000.00
