As the Senior Manager, Regulatory for Brazil, you will assume the leadership of our largest and most complex regulatory market. You will define and execute the local regulatory strategy, manage a multi‑layered team, and act as the primary liaison with key governmental bodies, including the Central Bank of Brazil.

Given the unique size and complexity of our Brazilian operations, you will oversee two distinct pillars: Product Counseling and Regulatory Compliance. Your mission will be to balance aggressive innovation and business growth with rigorous compliance, safeguarding our license to operate and strengthening our strategic position in our home market.

• Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the entire Brazil Regulatory team, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities across the Product Counseling and Regulatory pillars.
• Primary EBANX Representative: Serve as the primary EBANX representative in interactions with the Government and the Central Bank of Brazil.
• Regulatory Strategy: Define the local regulatory strategy to support EBANX’s commercial objectives while ensuring robust compliance and risk mitigation.
• Product Counseling & Business Enablement: Oversee regulatory assessments for new business models and products in Brazil.
• Lead the evaluation and application process for new licenses required for future business models.
• Provide strategic support to the Commercial team during meetings with key merchants, acting as the subject matter expert on Brazilian regulations.
• Regulatory Compliance & Governance: Guarantee full compliance with all payment network rules and card schemes.
• Manage all regulatory compliance and reporting obligations to the Central Bank and other authorities.
• Oversee the maintenance and governance of EBANX’s Brazilian Payment Institution (IP) license.

• Extensive senior‑level experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or legal roles within the Brazilian payments, fintech, or financial services industry.
• Deep and proven expertise in the regulations of the Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN) and the Brazilian Payment System (SPB).
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership role, with a strong track record of managing and developing teams.
• Proven experience in direct and strategic interactions with Brazilian regulators, particularly the Central Bank.
• Ability to translate complex regulations into actionable business strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, or a related field.
• Full professional fluency in both Portuguese and English.
