Job summary
A global agribusiness company is looking for a Sr BackEnd Engineer focusing on Salesforce. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems, collaborating with a team, and ensuring optimal performance and security. The ideal candidate must have strong proficiency in SalesForce backend programming and experience with APIs. A Bachelor's degree and several years of relevant experience are required.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SalesForce backend programming, including Apex.
- Experience with building RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Salesforce Certifications (Platform Developer I/II) are a plus.

Bunge has an exciting opportunity available for Sr BackEnd Engineer-Salesforce. In this role you will be part of a global team working on challenging, meaningful projects impacting core business activities.
The Sr BackEnd Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems for Bunge's digital products. The Sr BackEnd Engineer will work with a team of talented engineers to ensure the efficiency, reliability, and security of Bunge’s backend services.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services and APIs using industry-standard frameworks.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define API requirements and specifications.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members.
- Troubleshoot and debug backend issues, and implement solutions to resolve them.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and best practices, and share knowledge with the team.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process and codebase.
- Ensure that backend systems are optimized for performance and scalability.
- Guide teammates on developing efficient and secure backend components.
- Establish and promote best practices, standards and guidelines related to back-end engineering for Bunge technology products.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in SalesForce backend programming, including Apex, with ability to write complex Apex code for custom logic and triggers.
- Understanding of Lightning Web Components.
- Experience with building RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Deep understanding of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud standard data models.
- Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.
- Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies (including Unit Testing and Debugging, CI/CD pipeline with automated testing).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree with 6 - 10 years of position related experience, or equivalent combo of education and experience level.
- Experience with working in agile projects.
- Fluency in English.
- Salesforce Certifications (Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II).
