Overview
Credit Analyst is an intermediate-level position, responsible for conducting credit reviews, monitoring the portfolio to identify the variation in the quality of its customers, in coordination with the Risk Management team.
Responsibilities
- Conducts risk assessments and customer credit analyses, reviews financial results and peer reviews, and prepares financial projections;
- Prepares approval memoranda (Credit Reports and ATAs), conducting due diligence and sensitivity analyses;
- Escalates credit concerns/updates to risk and business managers and proposes risk mitigation measures, continuously staying informed of developments/news related to the portfolio and the covered sector and understanding Citi's credit process, policies and risk appetite;
- Assists in preparing portfolio review and conducting stress tests;
- Participates in credit committees and discussions, proactively;
- Engagement in customer visits and calls;
- Builds working relationships with multiple teams across the bank, including sales, markets, and product teams;
- Resolves issues and recommends solutions to moderate issues;
- Serves as an expert and consultant for specific industries;
- Advises the commercial area on transaction structures and negotiates credit terms;
- Appropriately assess risks during business-related decision-making processes, with particular attention to the reputation and protection of Citi's credit portfolio;
- Transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in credit analysis (3-6 years);
- Knowledge of accounting, corporate finance, financial analysis/modeling, credit products, derivatives, risk assessment and transaction execution;
- High degree of customer analytical capacity and complex structures. Consistently demonstrate clear and concise communication (written and oral) Proven ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and in a team;
- Ability to work with reduced delivery time (sense of urgency);
- Ability to negotiate with the commercial area and risks;
- Previous experience of DD meetings with clients;
- Demonstrated responsibility, self-motivation and business acumen;
- Mastery of the Office package.

- Bachelor's degree/university degree or equivalent experience
