A leading digital engineering firm is looking for a TL Java Backend Developer to design and develop scalable backend systems. In this remote position, you will lead the full software development lifecycle and mentor junior engineers. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in Java, expertise in Spring and Spring Boot, along with experience in AWS and database management. This is a critical role in delivering reliable backend solutions in a collaborative environment.

Qualificações

• Proficiency in Java, preferably version 17 or higher.
• Expertise in Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Experience with both NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational (MySQL) databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services like EC2 and EKS.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop large-scale, distributed backend systems.
• Translate complex requirements into scalable backend solutions.
• Lead the full software development lifecycle including testing and deployment.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Perform code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

Conhecimentos

Proficiency in Java (preferably Java 17+)

Expertise in Spring and Spring Boot

Deep knowledge of Hibernate / JPA

Experience with MongoDB (NoSQL)

Experience with MySQL (relational)

Experience building microservices architectures

Job Summary

As a TL Java Backend Developer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining robust applications. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the evolution of backend services, and APIs. You will help shape performance optimization, security, and maintainability. This role is key to delivering reliable backend solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and develop large-scale, distributed backend systems with multi-tiered architecture, concurrency, and high availability;
• Independently translate complex functional and non-functional requirements into robust, efficient, and scalable backend solutions aligned with system architecture;
• Lead and contribute to the full software development lifecycle — including system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement;
• Create and maintain comprehensive and usable technical documentation;
• Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and advocate for engineering best practices;
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning;

Actively participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making with cross-functional teams.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Java (preferably Java 17+);
• Expertise in Spring and Spring Boot;
• Deep knowledge of Hibernate / JPA;
