We are seeking a Tax Senior Specialist (temporary position) with strong experience in Brazilian tax legislation to support our tax operations during a temporary assignment. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance, reviewing internal controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Your Role as Tax Senior Specialist (temporary position):

  • Review periodic tax filings (municipal, state, and federal).
  • Review monthly internal audit controls.
  • Support monthly tax closing processes.
  • Assist with quarterly tax package preparation for headquarters.
  • Analyze and apply current Brazilian tax regulations.
  • Stay updated and provide guidance on Brazil’s ongoing tax reforms.
  • Identify opportunities for tax optimization.
  • Manage tax audits and reviews.
  • Prepare tax reports and summaries for management.
  • Coordinate with external advisors and tax authorities.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Support the implementation of new tax policies.

What is needed to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in tax in Brazil.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Brazilian tax legislation.
  • Strong understanding of Brazil’s tax reform.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and digital tools.
  • Experience with Linx system is a plus.
  • Experience in retail sector is appreciated but not mandatory.
