As a Staff Engineer you will join one of our regional product delivery teams, working in cloud-based environments. You’ll work with large-scale data, from scientific and machine-generated data to geospatial, weather, and soil information. Our mission is to revolutionize global agriculture through digital tools that help farmers boost productivity sustainably.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:
  • Collaborate with engineers, data analysts, product managers, and user experience specialists to design solutions that will shape the future of farming.
  • Provide technical designs and solution estimates to implement new features according to product specifications.
  • Guide application architecture, working closely with the engineering teams involved in the project.
  • Work in an open, inclusive engineering team committed to continuous improvement and quality.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers, fostering knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Write code and comprehensive tests (unit, UI, end-to-end).
ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?

You are expected to have:

  • Robust s standard business hours, with some on-site days at our São Paulo office. oftware development experience.
  • Experience building web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular – we use React).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript.
  • Experience with modern CSS.
  • Experience with git or other distributed version control systems.
  • Experience building and debugging applications in modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, mobile browsers).
  • Interest in working in a team that values software testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of modern JavaScript features (ES6+, Promises).
  • Experience in performance optimization of JavaScript/browser applications.
  • Experience developing single-page applications (SPAs).
  • Experience collaborating with Product and Design to deliver innovative features.
  • Strong advocate for web standards, accessibility, and modern web development practices.
  • Experience with test-driven development and tools such as Cypress, Jest, WebDriverIO.
  • Experience with Node.js, GraphQL, TypeScript.
  • Interest in taking on a technical leadership role, helping to estimate, plan, and provide guidance on key projects.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English is required for working in a global team.
  • Willingness to be based in São Paulo, with some weekly office days expected.
