About the role :

Role : Software Engineer III

Location :

São Paulo, SP – On‑site role

Duration : 6 months

Salary : $ 2200 USD monthly (FTE)

We're looking for a

Software Engineer III

with strong backend experience to join a high‑impact engineering team building large‑scale user‑facing products.

What You'll Do

Build and enhance backend features end to end: requirements, implementation, automated testing, A/B testing, and launch validation.

Collaborate with product, design, and client teams to deliver complete functionality.

Develop reliable, maintainable backend components used by other engineers.

Work on large-scale, distributed, and data‑intensive systems.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong Java backend skills (REST APIs, caching, storage, data processing).
• Hands‑on Big Data experience: Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce (active migration from MR → Spark).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and data‑intensive architectures.
• Experience with automated testing and clean, maintainable code.
• Excellent communication skills—ability to explain architecture and product impact clearly.
• Experience in consumer apps, social media, or large‑scale platforms (not financial systems).
• Plus: Power BI or other analytics / data tooling.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (fluent required) and collaborate effectively across global teams.
