What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Design and implement scalable and efficient data architectures to meet the needs of data scientists, engineers, and business partners
• Identify and implement improvements to system cost efficiency, reducing data storage and processing costs
• Own and model structured and unstructured data, acting as a data consultant for partner teams
• Champion best practices for system usage and maintain high-quality code standards
• Participate in the team’s on‑call rotation to address timely reliability incidents

What is Required (Qualifications)

• Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during coordination hours (Mon‑Fri: 9am‑3pm Pacific Time)
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience working in Data Infrastructure
• Proficiency in Python and SQL query design
• Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Hive, Spark, and Trino
• Operational mindset with skills in problem diagnosis, root cause analysis, performance tuning, and incident management

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Hands‑on experience with AWS technologies like S3, EC2, RDS, EKS, or in Apache Iceberg
