GateSource HR is partnering with a confidential client looking for a Senior Process Consultant – Mineral Processing to support on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performance improvement initiatives across the Americas.
Travel: 1.5–2 weeks per month across the Americas
Reports To: Senior / Principal Consultant or Regional Manager
This role is well suited to a hands-on mineral processing professional who enjoys working directly in operating plants. You will support structured diagnostics, sampling campaigns, operator training, and the delivery of practical improvements alongside senior consultants and global technical teams.
Execute structured plant reviews and flowsheet performance assessments
Support on-site troubleshooting and improvement workstreams
Plan, execute, and interpret plant sampling campaigns
Convert technical findings into actionable, plant-ready recommendations
Support technical workshops and operator training sessions
Coordinate testwork sampling and laboratory programs
Liaise with engineering teams for formal studies and scoping work
Contribute to high-quality customer-facing technical reports
Maintain strong safety standards and site compliance
5+ years in mineral processing, metallurgy, or plant operations support
Exposure to gravimetric circuits (required for certain sites)
Strong on-site plant experience with operator engagement
Ability to work with imperfect plant data and still deliver sound decisions
Strong written and spoken English
Willingness to travel extensively across the Americas
Experience with spirals, jigs, shaking tables, or DMS
Exposure to magnetic separation and/or flotation
Strong mass balance and data reconciliation capability
Experience delivering operator training or technical coaching
Multi-site exposure across commodities and operating environments
Strong technical support network
Clear development path toward senior and principal consulting roles
