Senior Fullstack Engineer (Backend-Orientated)

We are searching for a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a strong backend orientation.

Our ideal teammate is proficient in React / Typescript for building reliable frontends, and deeply experienced in backend development using Ruby on Rails and / or Node.js.

You will enjoy solving complex problems, elevating architectural standards, and directly impacting high-profile digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails and / or Node.js to power high-availability platforms.
• Develop responsive, maintainable front-end interfaces using React and Typescript, collaborating closely with UX / UI and product teams.
• Drive code quality and best practices, including automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
• Architect solutions for seamless integrations with APIs, microservices, and third-party platforms.
• Ensure that backend and frontend systems perform efficiently, ensuring exceptional user experience and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers, promote knowledge sharing, and contribute to continual improvement of engineering processes.
• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and propose optimized solutions across the stack.
• Collaborate across distributed teams, participating in regular sprint planning and delivering on shared objectives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with strong backend expertise using Ruby on Rails and / or Node.js.
• Proven experience building modern, reliable frontends using React.js and Typescript.
• Solid architectural understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and scalable cloud applications.
• Deep knowledge of database design and optimization (SQL or NoSQL).
• Demonstrated ability to navigate asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
• Strong familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, code versioning tools, and DevOps best practices.
• Experience with unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable in multicultural engineering teams.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Based in Latin America (LATAM timezone).
